He was graduated from High Bridge High School in 1942. He was a graduate of Rutgers University. He received a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1955.
Born May 16,1923, near Cokesbury, he was a son of Leon J. Sutton, Sr. and Stephania Harvath Sutton. He had spent his entire life in that area.
He was member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, High Bridge.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his widow, the former Dorothy Purdy; a daughter, Dorothy, at home; three brothers, Frank and Edward Sutton, both of the Cokesbury vicinity, and George, New York City, and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Koford, Pittstown, and Mrs. Mary E. Azhderian, Anaheim, Calif.
A Rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight at the Naughright Funeral Home, High Bridge. on 5 September 1957.2
