     Philip Crater was born on 31 October 1776 at New Jersey.1 He was the son of Morritz Crater and Mary Margaret Wintermood. He married Susannah Sutton, daughter of John Sutton and Elizabeth Aubel, on 19 November 1799 at New Jersey. He died on 19 March 1856 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2 He was buried on 22 March 1856 at Presbyterian Cemetery, Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2

     Morritz Crater was born on 24 February 1742 at New Jersey.1 He married Mary Margaret Wintermood on 29 January 1765 at Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1,2 He married Maria Margaret Teats on 28 July 1800 at Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1 He died on 18 February 1806 at Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1
