She married John Sutton Jr., son of John Sutton and Anna Burd, on 12 July 1900 at Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1 She died on 8 November 1926 at Califon, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, of chronic nephritis.2 She was buried on 10 November 1926 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2
     Lillian Bird appeared on the census of 1905 in the household of John Sutton Jr. at East Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.3 She appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 in the household of John Sutton Jr. at Califon to Middle Valley Road, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.4 She appeared on the census of 21 January 1920 in the household of John Sutton Jr. at Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.5 Obit:
     Mrs. Lillie Sutton, wife of John Sutton, Jr., died yesterday at her home in Vernoy following a long illness of complications. She had recently returned from a Morristown hospital after receiving surgical treatment. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Burd, of Califon, and was a life-long resident of that section. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a brother, Floyd Burd, of Bunnvale, and two sisters, Mrs. Howard Willis, of Mt. Grove, and Mrs. Howard Stillwell. on 9 November 1926.6
