Emily died on 17 August 1905 of Bright's and mitral disease at Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at age 86.5,6
Her body was interred on 20 August 1905 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at Methodist Churchyard.5,1

Mrs. Emily Sutton, widow of David Sutton, died last Thursday night, after an illness of several years, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Teats, of Califon. Funeral services Sunday morning in the Califon M. E. Church. Interment was made in the family plot in the old Methodist cemetery at Fairmount.
Mrs. Sutton's maiden name was Emily Yawger, and she was born near White House 85 years ago last Christmas Day. Early in life she married David Sutton, a farmer, of Fairmount. The union resulted in 15 children - 7 daughters and 8 sons - all of whom survive except two daughters and two sons. She leaves the following children: Zachariah Sutton, of Raritan; George Sutton, of Reiglesville, Pa; Richard Sutton, of White House Station; John Sutton, Morris Sutton and Wesley Sutton, Mrs. Isaac Teats, of Califon; Mrs. Fisher Apgar, of Dunellen; Mrs. Philip Farley, of Mt. Grover; Mrs. Byram Pickle; of White House, and Mrs. George Pace, of High Bridge. published on 24 August 1905.15

She was a member of the Cokesbury Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Olive, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Morris Sutton, of Potterstown; and a number of nieces and nephews residing in the vicinity of Califon.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Coughlin and Son funeral home, Center street, Califon, with the Rev. Bruce W. Hall, pastor of the Califon and Fairmount Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment will be in Lower Valley Union cemetery, Califon. on 10 April 1946.2

Before retiring he was employed at the Taylor Wharton Steel Works of High Bridge.
He was the last of a large familyh of children and is survived by two son, Howeard Sutton of Cokesbury and Casper Sutton of Potterstown; two step-children, Mrs. Jennie Mae Hill, West Palm Beach, Fla and Percy Alpaugh of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Coughlin's Funderal Home, Center street. Burial was made in the Cokesbury Methodist Cemetery. on 6 July 1948.19

Richard Sutton was born on 10 July 1790 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He was the son of John Sutton and Elizabeth Aubel. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, New Germantown, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, on 24 September 1790. He married Mary Bunn at New Jersey before 1810. Richard died on 10 October 1861 at Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at age 71. His body was interred on 13 October 1861 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at Fairmount Cemetery.

Frederick Helwig, pastor of the Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, officiated. Interment was made in the Lower Valley Union Cemetery. Mr. Sutton died Saturday, Oct. 6, 19334, after an illness of several weeks.
The eldest of a family of fourteen children, he was born in Califon on 29 Feb 1840. Mr. Sutton served in the Union Army during the Civil War. He was wounded in the battle of Bull Run, when a shell fragment injured his elbow. He also took part in the engagement at Budd's Ferry, Yorktown, Fair Oaks, Oak Grove, Malvern Hill and Brandy Station. He was captured and served 11 1/2 months in the Conferderate prison at Andersonville.
At the close of the war he returned to Califon and engaged in the mason and building business until he retired about twelve years ago. Mr. Sutton married Miss Catherine Reed of Califon, who survives him. He leaves the following children; Mrs. Emma Daves of Scranton, Miss Carrie Sutton of Easton, Miss Etta Sutton, of New York, and Martin Sutton of Califon.
Three brothers, John and Morris Sutton of Califon, and George Sutton of Riegelsville; and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Pickell, of Somerville, Mrs. Isaac F. Fisher of Plainfield, and Mrs. Philip Farley of Califon, also survive.
There are now only two Civil War veterans left in Califon vicinity. They are Jacob Cramer, 94, of Cokesbury, and William Young, 88, of Califon. on 11 October 1934.3
