John Sutton, 87, a native of Califon, died last night in Mrs. Rogers' Nursing Home at Woodglen, where he had been a patient for several months. Prior to entering the nursing home, Mr. Rogers [Sutton] made his home in Fairmount with his niece, Mrs. Mame Covert, who died Wednesday of this week. His wife died many years ago.
The only survivors are nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in Daniel J. Coughlin and Sons Funeral Home, Center street, Califon, with the Rev. Edwin M. Brown, pastor of Lower Valley and Fairmount Presbyterian churches officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Presbyterian cemetery. on 15 December 1944.3

Prior to entering the nursing home, Mr. Rogers [Sutton] made his home in Fairmount with his niece, Mrs. Mame Covert, who died Wednesday of this week. His wife died many years ago.
The only survivors are nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in Daniel J. Coughlin and Sons Funeral Home, Center street, Califon, with the Rev. Edwin M. Brown, pastor of Lower Valley and Fairmount Presbyterian churches officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Presbyterian cemetery. on 15 December 1944.3

Mr. Sutton was a retired farmer. A lifelong resident of Califon, he was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Moore Sutton.
Surviving are five sisters; Miss Sarah Sutton, East Orange, N.J; Mrs. Essie Stires and Mrs. Emma Davis, both of Glen Gardner; Mrs. Clara Eigard, Pittstown; Mrs. Jennie Abrams, Millville, N.J; and two brothers, Marshall, Hackettstown, and Jacob, Clinton.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon. on 28 September 1961.2
