Sutton at German Valley, Washington Township, Morris County, New Jersey, on 7 January 1885.1 Elizabeth died on 1 February 1945 at Chester, Morris County, New Jersey, at age 79.2 Her body was interred on 4 February 1945 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at Fairmount Presbyterian Cemetery.2

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Myer Sutton, 79, who died Thursday night at her home, East Main Street, Chester, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Smith funeral home, Dover. The Rev. Milton R. Emmons, pastor of the Chester Federated Church officiated and interment was in Fairview [Fairmount] Presbyterian cemetery, near Califon.
Mrs. Sutton was the widow of Elias Sutton, of Parker, near Califon, where he operated a grocery store for many years. Mrs. Sutton resided alone since the death of her husband. She lived in Chester several years.
She is survived by a grandson, Cpl. Aaron S. Sutton, Jr., stationed at Camp Bowie, Tex., a grand-daughter, Mrs. George Philhower, of Chester, and three great-grand-children. on 6 February 1945.2
