     Amos Sutton was born circa 1765 at New Jersey. He was the son of Jonas Sutton and Elizabeth Runyon. He married Jane Robins, daughter of John Robins and Catharine ?, on 15 December 1785 at Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; Marriage by Rev. William Frazier (Ref: From the Collection of Beulah Gangaware). He died on 15 April 1828 at Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1
     Amos Sutton lived on 29 December 1825 at Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2

         The subscriber offers for sale, that Valuable Plantation, on which he now lives, situate in the township of Amwell, on the road leading from Flemington to Centre Bridge, about three and one half miles from the former place, containing 110 acres, in a high state of cultivation; a good proportion of woodland and meadow, and that more meadow may be easily made and watered at any time, by never-failing streams, which supply water to every field; and orchard in its prime of bearing, of choice fruit of about 500 trees.
         There are on the premises two dwelling houses, two good barns, a waggon house, two spring houses, a distillery, a tan yard and about 30 vats, an every thing necessary for the tanning business, being also in a good neighborhood for Bark. There are many other advantages attached to this place, but the proprietor thinks it unnecessary to enumerate them, as persons wishing to purchase will first call and view the premises.

     Nathan Sutton John Robbins, decd, Amwell, NJ, died intestate. Nathan Sutton of Charlestown, Montgomery Co., NY and Elizabeth his wife (dau of John Robbins). Amos Sutton of Amwell appointed Attn. on 7 September 1803. He Nathan Sutton of Charlestown and wife and Amos Sutton. Also names all children of John Robbins, etc. Jane wife of Amos. on 19 October 1804. He appeared on the census of 1810 at Charlestown, Montgomery County, New York; Census notes:
