John Sutton was born on 23 January 1813 at Locktown, Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1 He was the son of Uriah Sutton and Anna Bonham. He married Elizabeth Ann Morgan, daughter of David Morgan and Catherine Ent, on 17 March 1836 at Kingwood, Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2 He died on 3 October 1882 at Kingwood, Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, of dysentery. Probate of Wills and Adminstr (Vol. 2, #91) names: Eliza Ann Sutton, widow of Locktown, Theodore W. Sutton of Kingwood, Amos B. Sutton of Locktown, Uriah Sutton of Locktown, Mary Ann Kaiser? of Kingwood, Catharine Sutton of Locktown, David Sutton of Raven Rock, Wm Sutton of Lahaska, Buck Co., PA, George Sutton of Raven Rock and Elizabeth Carrell of Locktown.3,1 He was buried on 6 October 1882 at Rosemont Cemetery, Locktown, Delaware Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.3

He held the status of an assessor of taxes and justice of the peace in April 1875 at Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.6,9 He appeared on the census of 15 June 1880 at Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.10 He left a will in 1882; A will existed (doc 6150) naming William C. Barrick and James Sutton as adminstrators. He names wife, Hannah, James R. Sutton (son), Hannah Sutton of Locktown, Amy A. Sutton of Locktown, Jennie Sutton of Locktown, Ida Case of Baptisttown, Coline? Barrick of Croton, J. R. Sutton of Locktown and Marietta Sutton of Locktown.
His obituary on 10 October 1882 read:
William B. Sutton died at his residence in Kingwood township on Sunday week, aged about 58 years. He was for several years a justice of the peace and assessor of the township. He leaves a large family of children. On Wednesday of last week, Mr. John Sutton, a brother of the first named, died at his residence in the same township. It is a singular coincidence that these brothers should be called away so near together.11
A notice to Limit Creditors appeared on 31 October 1882 and read:

Sutton died seized, situate, lying and being in the township of Kingwood, county of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey, adjoining lands of Uriah and Amos Sutton, Joseph Smith, Abraham Quick and others, containing 134 Acres of Land, in a good state of cultivation and well watered, a small stream running through the farm and several springs at different points thereof - two never failing ones at the house, and good well at the barn. The improvements consist of a commodious Stone Dwelling House, with a large frame kitchen attached - 14 rooms in all - suitable for two families; milk house and smoke house, a good frame barn, 26x40 feet, 18 feet posts, conveniently arranged with stabling and granary; a large hovel attached, with cow stable below, mow above - an open shed attached; wagon house, corn crib, hog pen, &c. Over 1,200 bearing peach trees, cherries, raspberries, &c., are abundant, some very choice kinds; and apple orchard of choice fruit. This is a good stock or dairy farm, within a mile of a creamery, store, post office, school and two churches. Altogether, it is a very desirable property. The improvements consist of a commodious Stone Dwelling House, with a large frame kitchen attached - 14 rooms in all - suitable for two families; milk house and smoke house, a good frame barn, 26x40 feet, 18 feet posts, conveniently arranged with stabling and granary; a large hovel attached, with cow stable below, mow above - an open shed attached; wagon house, corn crib, hog pen, &c. Over 1,200 bearing peach trees, cherries, raspberries, &c., are abundant, some very choice kinds; and apple orchard of choice fruit. This is a good stock or dairy farm, within a mile of a creamery, store, post office, school and two churches. Altogether, it is a very desirable property. William was born at Hunterdon County, New Jersey, on 8 September 1817. He was the son of Jonathan Sutton. He married Catharine Ann Brewer, daughter of Frederick Brewer and Mary Curtis, on 23 November 1844 at Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1,2 William died on 7 April 1862 at Washington, District of Columbia, at age 44.3 He was buried circa 9 April 1862 at Frenchtown Cemetery, Frenchtown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.4
William Smith Sutton appeared on the census of 26 August 1850 at Kingwood Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.5 He A Double Yelked Turkey. - We have been informed from a reliable quarter, that Wm. S. Sutton, near Baptisttown,
Kingwood Township, in this County, sold recently in New York City, a Turkey for $100, its weight being about 40
lbs. Mrs. S. also raised some ten or a dozen of the same breed, weighing from twenty to thirty lbs each. They are of
the South Caroline double yelked breed. It is said that there never has been such a large Turkey in New York City,
nor one that commanded such a large price. If our New England people could get such large Turkeys for
Thanksgiving dinner, one would be sufficient for a whole neighborhood.

Archibald was born at New Jersey circa 1790. He married Delilah Sutton at Hunterdon County, New Jersey, on 20 July 1811.1 Archibald died on 20 April 1819 at New Jersey. He was buried after 20 April 1819 at Sutton Farm Cemetery, Sandbrook, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2
