     Samuel was born at New Jersey circa August 1865.1,2 He was the son of Morris C. Sutton and Rachel Robinson. He married Elmira Schuyler, daughter of Benjamin Schuyler and Julia ?, on 2 July 1890 at New Germantown, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.3,4 He died on 22 May 1926 at Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, of suicide.5 His body was interred on 26 May 1926 at Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, at Presbyterian Cemetery.6
     Samuel P. Sutton appeared on the census of 26 June 1880 in the household of Morris C.      Samuel Sutton, about sixty years old, a farmer residing between Fairmount and Califon, committed suicide by hanging early Saturday evening. A daughter found his lifeless body. He had secured a rope and went to the wagon house and there suspended the rope and made a noose and threw the weight of his body into it thereby hanging himself with his feet upon the ground. No cause is given for the act. He had always resided in that vicinity and is survived by his wife and a son and daughter. Mrs. Oscar Vliet and Mrs. J. Penny of Gladstone, are sisters. Funeral services will be held at this late home on Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Dezendorf, pastor of the Califon Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be made near Chester by funeral director Charles Alpaugh, of Oldwick. (The Whitehouse Review, Whitehouse Station, N.J., Tuesday, May 25, 1926, Vol. 29, No. 12) on 25 May 1926.

     Austin Sutton, 74, Fairmount Road, West Tewksbury Township, N.J., died yesterday afternoon at his home.
     Dr. Valdimir Ctibor of Califon, Hunterdon County, deputy medical examiner, attributed death to coronary causes.
     Born Oct. 17, 1894, in Tewksbury Township, he was a son of the late Samuel P. and Elmira Schuyler Sutton.
     Mr. Sutton was a retired farmer.
     He was a member of Califon Methodist Church.
     His wfie, LaVanche Kagan Sutton, died in 1942.
     Survivors include two sons, Norman, Flemington R.D., and LeRoy M., Califon R.D; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
     The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon. on 18 March 1969.6

     LaVanche was born at Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, circa November 1894. She was the daughter of Oscar M. Kagan and Lora Anna Hurty. She married Austin S. Sutton, son of Samuel P. Sutton and Elmira Schuyler, on 27 December 1919 at Califon, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1 She died on 24 September 1942 at Somerset Hospital, Somerville, Somerset County, New Jersey.2 She was buried on 28 September 1942 at Fairmount Methodist Cemetery, Fairmount, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.2
     LaVanche Putnam Kagan appeared on the census of 13 January 1920 in the household of Oscar M. Kagan at Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.3 She appeared on the census of 3 April 1930 in the household of Austin S. Sutton at Farmersville, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.4 Obit:
     Mrs. LaVanche Kagan Sutton, 47 years old, near Califon, wife of Austin Sutton, died yesterday noon at Somerset Hospital, Somerville, three hours after she was admitted. Mrs. Sutton was taken ill with grip on Sunday, and was removed to the hospital yesterday with complications.
     Mrs. Sutton was born in Jersey City, daughter of Mrs. Lora Hurty Kagan and the late Oscar Kagan, of near Califon. She resided in the Califon vicinity 25 years. She was a member of the Fairmount Methodist Church, and the Young People's Bible Class of the church.
     Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, LeRoy, Norman, and Donald Sutton, all at home, and her mother.
     Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Daniel J. Coughlin and Son funeral home at Califon. The Rev. Ralph G. Saxe, pastor of Dumont Methodist Churhc, and former pastor of the Califon Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Fairmount Methodist cemetery. on 25 September 1942.2

     Thomas D. Sutton was born on 13 March 1872 at California, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.1 He was the son of John H. Sutton and Rebecca Jane Apgar. He married Anna M. Thorp at at the parsonage, Succasunna, Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey, on 28 November 1896.2 He died on 31 October 1951 at Dover, Morris County, New Jersey.3 He was buried on 3 November 1951 at Presbyterian Cemetery, Succasunna, Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey.3

     Funeral services for Thomas D. Sutotn, 79, a native of Califon who died Wednesday at his home in Dover, N.J., were held on Saturday afternoon in the Tuttle funeral home, Dover. Interment was in Succasunna Presbyterian cemetery.
     Mr. Sutton was the son of the late John and Rebecca Sutton. He was a member of the bartenders' union, Local 633, of Dover, and the Eagles, Elks and Moose lodges of that community.
     Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Floyd S. Hann, of Little Falls, N.J. ; two sisters, Mrs. George Serbe, of Irvington, N.J; and Miss Pearl Sutton, of Califon; one grandson and one great-grandson. on 5 November 1951.3

     Anna was born at New Germantown, Tewksbury Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, on 11 November 1862. She was the daughter of Philip E. Thorp and Mary C. Dilley. She married Thomas D. Sutton at at the parsonage, Succasunna, Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey, on 28 November 1896.1 Anna died on 27 April 1928 of chronic myocarditis at Morristown, Morris Township, Morris County, New Jersey, at age 65.2 Her body was interred on 1 May 1928 at Suscasunna, Roxbury Township, Morris County, New Jersey, at Suscasunna Cemetery.

     Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cochran funeral home, Hackettstown, for Holloway Hance Sutton, 71, who died Sunday night at his home on Mt. Bethel road, Hackettstown, R.D.
     Mr. Sutton was a retired foundry moulder. Born in Pleasant Grove, he was a son of the late William T. and Anna Hoffman Sutton. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty, both of Hackettstown.
     Surviving are a son, Warren, of Hackettstown; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Hutchinson, of Delaware, N.J; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Hoover, of Hackettstown, and Mrs. Ida Wire, of Union, N.J; a brother, Wesley Sutton, Hackettstown; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr Sutton's wife, the former Abbie June, died before him.
     The Rev. Frank T. Reed, pastor of Trinity Church, will officiate at the funeral. Interment will be in Pequest cemetery, Great Meadows. on 17 February 1953.4

     Wesley C. Sutton, 69, Vienna road, Hackettstown, died this morning in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, N.J.
     Mr. Sutton was a night watchman in the West Orange Hosiery Co., Hackettstown.
     Born in Hackettstown, he was a son of the late William and Anna Hoffman Sutton. He was married to the former Beulah Dunn.

He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Hackettstown.
     Surviving, in addition to his widow, are two daughters, Mrs. Earl Young, Hackettstown, and Mrs. Harold A. Searles, Belvidere; a stepson, Roland G. Bull, Andersontown, N.J; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
     The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cochran Funeral Home, Hackettstown. on 30 September 1958.4

     Bulah was born at Hackettstown, Warren County, New Jersey, on 20 April 1897.1 She was the daughter of Edward N. Dunn and Ida Hart. She married ? Bull circa 1914 at New Jersey. She and ? Bull were divorced before 1921 at New Jersey. She married Wesley Conover Sutton at Belleville, Belleville Township, Essex County, New Jersey, on 24 January 1921.2 She died on 25 June 1970 at Hackettstown, Warren County, New Jersey.1 She was buried on 29 June 1970 at Hackettstown Union Cemetery, Hackettstown, Warren County, New Jersey.1

     Mrs. Beulah M. Sutton, 73, of 100 Fourth St., Hackettstown, died Thursdays at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl Young, 114 Fifth St. Hackettstown.
     Born April 20, 1897, in Hackettstown, she had lived there all her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Ida Hart Dunn.
     Her husband, Wesley Sutton, died in 1957.
     Mrs. Sutton was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Hackettstown, its WSCS and the Senior Citizens Club, Hackettstown.
     Survivors include a son, Roland Bull, Washington; another daughter, Mrs. Harold Searles, Belvidere; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Ulmer, Vienna, N.J; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
     The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Cochran Funeral Home, Hackettstown. Interment will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery. on 27 June 1970.1
