Obituary
Roy Sutton, 64, who conducted the Annandale store in partnership with his son-in-law, LaWall Harvey, died yesterday of a heart attack in Carteret, as he was preparing to return to Annandale with a truck load of fertilizer. The truck crashed into a pole and was slightly damaged. Coroner Joseph Costillo, of Perth Amboy, investigated and ordered the body released to the Brokaw funeral home, Lebanon.
Mr. Sutton was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Sutton, and was born on the Sutton farm at Parker, near Fairmount. He formerly had been engaged in farming, at Bray's Hill.
He was a member of the Annandale Board of Lighting Commissioners, vice-president of the Annandale Fire Co., and was a former clerk of Clinton Township.
Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Meta VanBilliard Sutton; a daughter, Mrs. LaWall Harvey, of Annandale; two brothers, Erastus W. Sutton, mayor of Lebanon, and Eli Sutton, of the Sutton farm, at Parker, and a grandson, Lee Harvey, of Annandale.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the residence, West street, Annandale, with the Rev. Richard D. Beving, pastor of Annandale Reformed Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Presbyterian cemetery, Cokesbury.
Buried in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
