Mrs. Emily Sutton, widow of David Sutton, died last Thursday night, after an illness of several years, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Teats, of Califon. Funeral services Sunday morning in the Califon M. E. Church. Interment was made in the family plot in the old Methodist cemetery at Fairmount.
Mrs. Sutton's maiden name was Emily Yawger, and she was born near White House 85 years ago last Christmas Day. Early in life she married David Sutton, a farmer, of Fairmount. The union resulted in 15 children - 7 daughters and 8 sons - all of whom survive except two daughters and two sons. She leaves the following children: Zachariah Sutton, of Raritan; George Sutton, of Reiglesville, Pa.; Richard Sutton, of White House Station; John Sutton, Morris Sutton and Wesley Sutton, Mrs. Isaac Teats, of Califon; Mrs. Fisher Apgar, of Dunellen; Mrs. Philip Farley, of Mt. Grover; Mrs. Byram Pickle; of White House, and Mrs. George Pace, of High Bridge. 12661
