Obituary
CLINTON - Francis P. "Frank" Sutton, 86, of Clinton passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at home.
He was born Sept. 2, 1925, in Clinton Township to Leon and Stephanie Horvath Sutton and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He graduated from the Cokesbury Grammer School and High Bridge High School. He also attended Harvard University and graduated from Cornell University with a law degree.
He was in private practice in Clinton for more than 50 years and was the longest-practicing attorney in Hunterdon County. He also successfully argued in front of the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Court and he was a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe with the 82nd Airborn Division as a sergeant.
Surviving him are a brother, attorney George L. and his wife Delores Sutton of Morristown; a sister, Amelia T. Koford of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Dr. Leon Sutton Jr., in 1957 and Edward J. Sutton in 2011; and a sister, Mary Azhderian of Mount Baldy, Calif.
Calling hours will be private. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Mountain View Cemetery in Cokesbury. Arrangements were made by Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home of Lebanon.
