Obituary (Hunterdon Democrat)
Edson Sutton of Clinton Township died Thursday, October 31, 1985 at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 77.
Before retiring in 1973, he worked as an engineer for the Jersey Central Railroad for many years. He also was self-employed as a dairy farmer.
Born in Fairmount, he was a son of the late Casper A. and Minnie Lindabury Sutton and moved to Clinton Township in 1912.
He was a former member of Cokesbury Methodist Church and a member of Stewart Lodge, F&AM, High Bridge.
Surviving are his wife Harriet Lare Sutton; a son, Willard C. Sutton, of Clinton Township; two sisters, Mrs. William Perkins of Asbury and Mrs. Harold Snyder of Bedminster, and a grandson.
Services were held Sunday in Bright's Colonial Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial was in Cokesbury Cemetery.

Born Dec. 27, 1907, in Fairmount, N.J., he was a son of the late Casper A. and Minnie Lindabury Sutton. He moved to Clinton Township in 1912.
Mr. Sutton was a former member of Cokesbury Methodist Church, and a member of Stewart Lodge 34, F&AM, High Bridge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Harriet Lare; a son, Willard C., of Clinton Township; two sisters, Mrs. William Perkins, of Asbury, N.J. and Mrs. Harold Snyder, Bedminster, N.J.; and a grandson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bright's Colonial Funeral Home, Lebanon. Interment will be in Cokesbury Cemetery.
