Obituary
Percy Sutton, 68, of 103 Howard St., Phillipsburg, died Saturday at 5:45 p.m. in Warren Hospital where he was admitted earlier in the day.
Born in High Bridge, he was a son of the late Silas and Emma Drake Sutton. He had lived most of his life in Phillipsburg. Mr. Sutton was employed for 27 years by the maintenance department of the Central Railroad of New Jersey in Philippsburg.
Surviving are his widow, the former Emily Cora Hill; four daughters: Mrs. Cecil Hampton, of Vermillion, Ohio, and Mrs. Peter V. Yerance, Mrs. Wilbert C. Yerance, and Mrs. Hugh R. Walls, all of Phillipsburg; two sons, Clarence W. of West Portal, and Charles A., stationed with the U.S. Air Force at Elmendorf, Alaska; one sister, Mrs. Thomas Heavener, and one brother Ervin, both of Phillipsburg R.D. 2; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.

Percy actually never married Emily Cora Hill, but was recongized as a Common Law marriage. Percy's first wife was mental but he would never divorce her.
