HACKETTSTOWN -- Ruth Sutton Treloar, formerly of Succasunna, N.J. and Deltona, Fla., died on Oct. 23, 2007 at the House Of Good Shepherd in Hackettstown. She was 91.
Mrs. Treloar was born in Newark, and received her bachelor of science and master of education degrees from Kean University In Union. She was a fourth-grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary School in Mount Olive. She spent 20 years of her retirement in Deltona, Fla., where she was involved in many social and civic activities, most notably the establishment of the Deltona Family YMCA in Deltona.
She is survived by her husband, Charles D. Treloar; devoted son, Charles G. Treloar; and loving daughter, Ruthann Wilkins and her husband, Bill. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Leslie Ann Treloar, Michele S. O'Halloran, Christine Snovell, and Cathy Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Jessica, Grace and Amy.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the First Presbyterian Church, 99 Main St., Succasunna, N.J. The Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta is in charge of arrangements.
