On 27 Aug. 1792, four days before her death, the widow Sarah Read, in her will, made cash bequests to six minor children when they should become twenty-one years of age and directed that the balance of her estate should be divided among her eleven children.  Her "friends" Isaac Read and James Read were to be administrators.
