Obituary
William Sutton Injured at Plant of American Horseshoe Company. Died at His Parents' Home.
William Sutton, 16 years old, died at 2:40 o'clock this morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvah Sutton, 114 North Main street, death coming as a relief to the boy who suffered terribly.
It was several months ago that young Sutton, while in the employ of the American Horseshoe Company, met with an injury that necessitated his removal to the University Hospital, Philadelphia. The injury was principally to his spine. Four inches of one of his shin bones was removed and inserted in his back.
Some time after the operation had been performed he was brought back to Phillipsburg, but later on he was returned to the hospital. His condition did not improve and he was again brought to Phillipsburg several weeks ago.
Besides his parents, the deceased is survived by four brothers and one sister: John, of Pattenburg; Russell, Raymond, Kenneth and Miss Eva Sutton, residing at home. He was a member of the Sunday school of First Methodist Episcopal Church, Easton.
The body has been removed to the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Enos E. Sutton, 155 Cedar street, from which place the funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be made in Fairmount cemetery.
