Obituary
Death came instantly yesterday from a heart attack to William C. Sutton, a resident of West Plane street, Hackettstown. During the morning, Mr. Sutton had been trimming shubbery for Dr. Gertrude Allen on Moore street, Hackettstown, and was about to leave for his noon meal when the attack came.
Passersby thought he had been taken ill and called the American Legion ambulance, but Dr. L.. C. Osmin pronounced him dead. Coroner E. J. Wildrick was called and ordered the body removed to his home.
Mr. Sutton was over 70 years of age and had resided in Hackettstown many years. His early life occupation was that of a blacksmith.
He is survived by his wife. An only son, Dr. Frederick A. Sutton, a prominent physician of East Orange, died three weeks ago following a brief illness from heart trouble.
By the wish of Mrs. Sutton, arrangements are being made for an immediate burial in the Stanhope cemetery.
Burial Notes:
buried in Union Cemetery.
