Es his profession as "Rörmeister", which seems to translate as Röhrmeister or well-builder, i.e. someone who has to do with water-pipes, wells and the building and maintaining of these things.  In Jacob Nitzsche's marriage entry of 1575, the profession is hard to read, and might be Rhormeister" as well as "Thormeister" (gate-keeper)
