Obituary
Mrs. Emma Jane Sutton, 86 years old, wife of Morris Sutton, died on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at her home on Academy street, Califon, of a complication of ailments.
Mrs. Sutton was born at Mountainville, N.J., a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Alpaugh. Her entire life was spent within a radius of three miles of her birth place. She was twice married and her first husband, David Alpaugh, died 40 years ago. She was a member of Califon Methodist Church and of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church.
Her husband survives with one daughter, Mrs. Walter Hill, of West Palm Beach, Florida and a son, Percy Alpaugh, of Philadelphia. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Mattie E. Apgar, of Flemington; one brother, George Alpaugh, of Mountainville; two step-sons, Howard Sutton, of Mountainville and Casper Sutton, of Potterstown, N.J.; eight grand-children and several great-grand-children.
Funeral services on Saturday at 2 p.m. at her late residence in Califon. The Rev. Ralph G. Saxe, pastor of Califon-Fairmount Methodist Church, will officiate and interment in the Cokesbury Presbyterian Cemetery.
