Obituary
Funeral services for Ellis Sutton, 64 years old, formerly for many years proprietor of the Pottersville Hotel, were held this morning at his late residence in Beechwood Heights and interment was in the Presbyterian cemetery at Fairmount. Mr. Sutton died on Tuesday night at his home; after a long illness. He retired from the hotel business several years ago and since then had resided in the Bound Brook section. He was born at Fairmount and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George B. Sutton of that place. Early in life he engaged in farming. He was twice married. He leaves a number of children, Mrs. Wilbur Moke, Mrs. John Apgar, Mrs. William Sutton, Mrs. Frederick Christman, Misses Hazel and Helen Sutton and Cecil, Kenneth, and Clarence Sutton. He also leaves a number of brothers and sisters, Harmon Sutton of Califon, Ebenezer Sutton of Chester, Howard Sutton of Fairmount, Albert Sutton of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. John Barkman of Long Valley, Mrs. William J. Moore of Pottersville, and Mrs. Jacob Lutes of Henry, Ill.
Ellis is a merchant by trade. Child of Ellis and Anna are named in Isaac Hildabrant's will (grandfather of Anna).
