Obituary
Mrs. Emma Sutton Carter, 80, widow of John Carter, died yesterday at her home at Oxford R.D.
Mrs. Carter was born in Beattystown and spent her entire life in the vicinity of Washington. She was a member of Washington Methodist Church, the Order of Rebekahs, and Osage Coucil 110, Degree of Pocahontas.
Mrs. Carter also was past Pocahontas of Osage Council, past noble grand of Warren Rebekah Lodge 63, of I.O.O.F. and a member of Camp 15, P.O. of A., of Phillipsburg and American Advocate Council No. 64, Sons and Daughter of Liberty of Washington.
She is survived by a son, Harvey Park, of Newark; a stepson, Charles Carter, of Union; and two grandsons.
Private funeral services will be held Thursday at the Ford Funeral Home, Washington, with the Rev. Harold E. Cheyney, pastor of Washington Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Hackettstown Union Cemetery.
