Obituary
FLORENCE - Gordon D. Austin, 75, died Tuesday at the Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.
Born in Newark, he lived in the Florence area since 1954.
He was retired after 35 years as a service manager and auto mechanic.
He was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church in Florence.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Sutton Austin; a son, Donald Austin of Florence; three daughters, Dorothy Geiger of New Gretna, Dr. Ruth Austin-Bartholomew of Lansdale, Pa., and Irene Smith of Tuckerton; three sisters, Elizabeth Terry of Tampa, Fla., Ewina Selser of Mullica Hill, and Irene Barber, of Barre, Vt.; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. sunday at the Providence Presbyterian Church, Old York Road and Bustleton Road, Florence. Officiating will be Rev. Steven Fritz.
Interment will be private.
There will be no calling hours.
