A Funeral Mass for Harry G. Sutton, 86, of Irvington, N.J., will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at Good Shepherd Church, 285 Nesbit Terrace, Irvington, N.J. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. There will be a visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home, 1100 Pine Ave., Union, N.J. To send condolences to the family, visit bradleyfuneralhomes.com. Born in Newark, N.J., Harry had lived in Irvington for most of his life. A veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine, Harry served in Atlantic, Pacific and Mediterranean during World War II. He was a sprinkler fitter with Local 696 in Newark for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. Harry was a member of the Dennis A. Roland Chapter of the American Merchant Marine Veterans and the American Legion Post 1000 in Toms River. Predeceased by his wife, Yvonne, and brother, John J., Harry is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Biskey of Toms River, N.J.; nephews, Mark Lowyns of Scotch Plains, N.J. and Robert Lowyns of Florida; great-nephews, Mark Lowyns of New York City, Brad Lowyns of Oklahoma, Mark Mastrojohn of Brick, N.J., and great-niece, Alecia Mastrojohn of Point Pleasant, N.J.; niece, Karla Slater, and great-nieces, Stacey and Caren and great-nephew, Craig Slater.
Buried in the Hollywood Memorial Park.
