Obituary
Ira P. Sutton, 84, of Stanton Station, died last night at Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, after a long illness. He once was a one-time forman in the Hutnerdon County road department.
He was born near Annandale, a son of the late Abraham S. and Sarah Cregar Sutton. Although he had lived at Stanton Station for the past few years, most of his adult life was spent in the Lebanon and Somerville area.
At one time he had been a hardware clerk at the Farrington Lumber Yard, Annandale.
He was treasurer and secretary of the Cokesbury Cemetery Association at the time of his death. He was a member of the Jr. OUAM, Somerville; Somerville Exempt Firemen's Association and the Lebanon Reformed Church.
His only immediate survivor is his second wife, Mrs. Martha Davis Sutton. His first wife, Mrs. Eva Alpaugh Sutton died in 1945.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bright Funeral Home, Lebanon.
