Obituary
William Sutton, 58, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at his home on Schooleys Mountain. He had been ill of an acute heart condition. He was born at Vienna, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Sutton, late of Hackettstown. His wife, Mrs. Lena Rosenbaum Sutton, died 15 years ago.
Mr. Sutton is survived by these daughters: Mrs. George Stephens, Schooleys Mountain; Mrs. Ruth S. Fleming, residing in Louisan; Mrs. Louise S. Thatcher of Hackettstown, and Miss Shirley Sutton, Hackettstown High School senior, and a son Howard J. Sutton, stationed with the Marines in San Francisco, Cal. Other survivors are four brothers: James I. Sutton, of Townsbury; Albert Sutton, of East Orange; Leroy Sutton, of Wilmington, Del.; and Wesley Sutton, of Washington, D.C.
Mr. Sutton formerly resided in Hacktettstown and Dover. During recent months he had been employed on the Schoooleys Mountain farm of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Stephens.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Cochran funeral home, 326 Washington street, Hackettstown, in charge of the Rev. William H. Heilman, pastor of the Pleasant Grove and Schooleys Mountain Presbyterian Churches. Interment will be in Pequest Union cemetery, Great Meadow.
