Obituary
Mrs. LaVanche Kagan Sutton, 47 years old, near Califon, wife of Austin Sutton, died yesterday noon at Somerset Hospital, Somerville, three hours after she was admitted. Mrs. Sutton was taken ill with grip on Sunday, and was removed to the hospital yesterday with complications.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Jersey City, daughter of Mrs. Lora Hurty Kagan and the late Oscar Kagan, of near Califon. She resided in the Califon vicinity 25 years. She was a member of the Fairmount Methodist Church, and the Young People's Bible Class of the church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, LeRoy, Norman, and Donald Sutton, all at home, and her mother.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Daniel J. Coughlin and Son funeral home at Califon. The Rev. Ralph G. Saxe, pastor of Dumont Methodist Churhc, and former pastor of the Califon Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Fairmount Methodist cemetery.
