Mrs. Rebecca Sidnor died at the residence of her son-in-law, Richard Sutton, in Deckertown, last week, at the age of one hundred and fours years. She was born on January 3d, 1785, in Wiretown, Warren county, and was the mother of thirteen children, five of whom survive her. Her death was caused by a fall received last Saturday week. She was a remarkably active woman for her years. She could not see to thread a needle, but she did a great deal of sewing for the family up to a short time before her death. It was her custom to retire every night at 9 o'clock, and she was always up at 5 in the morning. Since the death of her husband, which occured about forty years ago, she has always smoked a pipe, sometimes has often as six or eight times a day. Her memory was remarkably good, and she could describe graphically scenes in the war of 1812, in which her son William lost his life.
