Obituary
Eli G. Sutton, 69, died yesterday at 11 a.m. at his home in Academy street, Califon, after several months illness.
He was born near Califon, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Sutton and lived in the Califon area his entire life. He was a member of Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, Califon, being a former trustee of that church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Anderson Sutton; a daughter, Miss Iva Sutton, of Lebanon, N.J.; and two sisters, Mrs. Amey Slemley of High Bridge, and Mrs. Harriet Eick, of Newark.
Funeral services will be held at his home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Edward H. Brown, of Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. Charles Seward Gillespie, of Califon Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Lower Valley Union cemetery, Califon.
