Obituary
E. Lester Sutton of Hillsborough, formerly of Oldwick, died Wednesday, July 9, 1986 at Somerset Medical Center, Somerville. He was 88.
A dairy farmer, he was born in Oldwick and moved to North Branch in 1918.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick and a 1927 charter member of the North Branch Volunteer Fire Company, serving as its first chief during the 1940s.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; two sons, Arthur L. Sutton and James D. Sutton, both of North Branch; a sister, Lena Stryker of Orman Beach, Fla., and three grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at the Speer-Van Arsdale Funeral Home, Somerville. Burial was in New Germantown Cemetery, Oldwick.
