Obituary (Easton Express - January 7, 1955)
Funeral services for Emmet Sutton, 70, a retired farmer and fruit grower, will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon. Mr. Sutton died unexpectedly of a heart attack Wednesday night at the home of his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Ross J. Sutton, Jr., of Califon R. D.
Mr. Sutton was vice president and a director of Hunterdon County Trust Co., Califon.
Born and raised on Sutton Farm, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Sutton, he had lived there most of his life. He had resided in LaSalle, Ill., for four years.
Surviving are two brothers, Lyman, of LaSalle, and Ross J. Sutton, Sr., of Sutton Farm. There also are three other nephews, Everett H. and William Sutton, of Califon, and Kenneth C. Sutton, of Long Valley.

Funeral services for Emmet Sutton, a retired farmer and fruit grower, were held Saturday afternoon at the Coughlin Funeral Home, Califon. Mr. Sutton died unexpectedly of a heart attack Wednesday at the home of his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Ross J. Sutton, Jr., of Califon, R.D.
The Rev. Leonard H. Evans, pastor of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church, officiated. Interment was in Fairmount Presbyterian Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Stiger, Oliver P. Moser, Howard P. Lance, Sr., Robert A. Bodine, William C. Apgar, and Raymond B. Apgar.
Buried in Fairmount Presbyterian Cemetery.
