Obituary (Easton Express)
Harmon Sutton, 75, banker, farmer, fruit grower, died suddenly yesterday at his home on his farm near Califon. Death was due to a heart attack. Mr. Sutton was born in Tewksbury township and spent his entire life there. He was engaged in farming and fruit growing and was the largest grower of fruit in that section. He was one of the first officers and directors of the Califon National Bank and when it was taken over by the Hunterdon County Trust Company, of Califon, he became vice president of the organization. For several years he was an officer of Tewksbury township. He was a member of the Califon Methodist Church and one of its chief supporters. He married Miss Farley who survives with these sons, Lyman Sutton, San Benita [Benito], Tex., Ross Sutton and Emmett Sutton, at home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday.
Obituary (Hunterdon Democrat)
Funeral services for Harmon Sutton, 78, vice-president of the Hunterdon Trust Company of Califon, and fruit grower, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at his home near Califon. Rev. George Okeson, pastor of Califon Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Fairmount cemetery.
Mr. Sutton died Friday, Nov. 23, 1934, from a heart attack. He spent his entire life in the Califon section. He married Miss Jane Farley, who survives with three sons, Lyman Sutton of San Bonita [Benito], Tex., and Ross and Emmett Sutton, at home. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters, Albert Sutton and Silas Sutton in the West, Edward Sutton of Chester, Mrs. John Barkman of Long Valley and Mrs. Susan Moore of Pottersville.
