Notes
General:
Thomas' parents are listed as John Bromley and Sarah Wharmby on birth certificate, however, it is known through DNA and newspaper reports that his mother was actually a daughter (Elizabeth or Matilda) of John and Ellen Jones. For the purpose of this research, I have linked Thomas to Matilda Jones, who would have been single and 17 years of age at time of Thomas' birth.

Thomas was Tax Accessor. In 1876 he was indicted for bribery. He was sentenced in June 1876 he was sentenced to 18 months of hard labor. (The Paterson Weekly Press).

In Aug 1876, a raffle was held to benefit Mrs. Thomas Bromley and famly.
